Colorado Recycling Events

This was and we are proud to say our first mid to large scale event! Also on a personal note our proudest and most endearing festival to date! We would personally like to thank Adam Anderson from Response Records for bringing us in on this very special Music Festival! This Festival and the Realm of Music is based on ‘The Realm Of Caring', a Benefit where the proceeds are sent to after school music activities here in Colorado! We had a great time and learned a lot as well! Great music, good vibes and awesome people in beautiful Colorado!

Held every year in the last week of June this Greek festival packs a ton of fun! Dancing, music, food and drink, a cultural event not to miss! Thank you to the Greek Orthodox Metropolis Cathedral of Denver! In 2009 we diverted approximately 2.7 tons of recyclable content! A huge success! www.thegreekfestival.com

We were able to set up at three different rally’s around Denver and Play Green was more than happy to assist in several areas of much needed recycling during the Democratic National Convention! The enthusiasm for so much Change and the electrically charged political platforms were something we will always remember and be grateful to be a part of!

Man o man what a time we had! Put on by the Bianchi Family and partners, this was a three day run of quite literally, dancing in the streets! Served up in downtown Denver with musical guest like DarkStar and one of my personal favorites Leftover Salmon this Festival had all kinds of charisma! Local artist of all sorts turned out, the beer flowed, the kids danced and the recycling effort was large to say the least! Thanks’ to ALL that helped to make Play Green important on this one!

We would love to send an extra special thanks out to Duncan Goodman and his partners on this one! Logistically a little tough but the learning curve here was good thing for Play Green and we made it work! We estimate we cut the trash by well over half! A post Phish party in the woods for the four night run at Red Rock in 2009 this was a campground tucked into National Forest high above Idaho Springs! Lots of pure Colorado Beauty, great music, dancing, camping and Playing Green! Thanks’ again guys for having us out! We won’t forget!

This volleyball packed day held in Denver in mid May really brings home the meaning of community, fun in the sun and service! The folks out hear come for a great day in the sun for a great cause! Thank you to Bobbie T. and all the players for actually Playing Green! We love this type of event and hope to see many more! This group gathers once a year in the heart of the Colorado Rockies to ascend and descend in some of the highest elevations in the USA! For us, literally a recycling marathon! Over 300 runners and 150 in support for 2009 and what an event for Play Green, right down our alley! This is a six stage marathon a day like race that’s cuts through the beautiful Colorado Rockies, where the runners have a full support team like no other! They run hard and in turn are very well taken care of! Imagine a mini running Tour de France if you will! Hard to estimate the quantity of recycled captured but lets just say a very significant amount! Just trying to keep up with this crew was a challenge but can’t wait for round two in 2010! Thanks to Wendy N. and all the support crew to making this a successful Play Green Event!

Beautiful views, cold brews, great live music and at a price you just cant beat! We love Buena Vista and love being supportive to such an amazing community and group of folks! This is one of my personal favorites as well as a solid foundation to a great relationship of event greening in the future! A special thanks to Laurie B. for bringing us in! We estimate just over 400 pounds of recyclables diverted over the course of the weekend!

Imprints Wholesale invited us to there expo where in five hours we filled an eight yard dumpster with recyclable content! For those who don’t know that almost three times the size of a traditional! Thanks Monica and Imprints Wholesale look forward to working with you again in the future!

EnCana has been hosting Energy Fairs around the country for some time and it has been our pleasure to become a part of the Energy Expo in Greeley! This corporation is definitely about stewardship and where there actions are guided by values and responsibility!

We have bee a part of several Island functions, Birthdays, Bahtmitzva’s and Volleyball Tourneys Play Green loves to work with these guys!
